Updated the Association constitution and added the Disciplinary And Grievance document to the Documents page.

The Annual General Meeting was held online by Zoom on 24th February. Minutes of the AGM will be available to members from the Secretary. Ceri Crockett has joined the committee this year – welcome Ceri. The treasurer reported that the Association is in a good financial position following several very successful fairs held throughout 2024. Membership Secretary Tracey Barnett has taken the decision to step down this year – Lynn will handle membership applications until a new Membership Secretary can be appointed. Sadly, we heard that three long-term members had passed away during the last year.

Our list of events for 2025 is now available on the Calendar page. This year we will have eleven events – the fairs will be held in Conwy, Rhos on Sea and Beaumaris, starting from the Easter weekend in April. Booking forms are already available for members and if space permits at each fair, remaining stands will be offered to non-members a month or two before the event. Also, we hope as many members as possible will join us for our annual General Meeting on 24th February.

12 July 2024

We regret to have to announce that once again our October fair in Conwy has had to be cancelled due to the ongoing refurbishment work at the Church Hall. We very much hope that the work will be complete by next year to allow us to try again.

9 July 2024

The Members Page has been updated to add links to websites of most of our members.

After a successful fair at our new venue in Rhos on Sea’s United Reformed Church, we now look forward to our next fair at the Bulkeley Hotel in Beamuaris, Anglesey on the weekend of 20-21 July 2024, then again at the same venue on the bank holiday weekend of 24-25 August.

20 February 2024

The Association’s Annual General Meeting took place on 19th February 2024. Gillian Evans becomes the new Chair of the Association, while Tracey Barnett takes over as Membership Secretary. Some changes to event dates were discussed – the Conwy fairs will be held on 8-9th June (Pirate Weekend) and 26th October (that date still to be confirmed). Rhos-on-Sea events will be held on Saturday 6th July and Saturday 2nd November 2024. And we are pleased to announce that of those present at the AGM, Anna Hicks drew the winning ticket for a free stand at one of our events this year.

Welcome to our new members who have joined us in recent weeks – Welsh Kate (charm pin brooches and Czech glass earrings), Nebo Woodland Wall Art (textile art and craft and prints), Cwtch Cadi (designer dog coats and watercolour art of dogs), Mosaics By Flipp (mosaics), and French Susan (handmade sewn animals and kimonos). Hope I haven’t left anyone out – I know others are in the process of applying for membership. Nice to see the Association’s membership growing like this.

Our list of craft fairs is now available on our Calendar page. Please note that the dates of two of the Denbigh Town Hall fairs have changed, to avoid a clash with other events locally. The July fair in Denbigh is now on the 22nd of July, and the September fair in Denbigh is now on the 23rd of September (in case you’ve seen the old dates elsewhere).

Also, a warm welcome to the Committee to our new Social Media Organiser, Amy Green of Coastal Craft Design, elected at our AGM earlier this week. Sheila Garlick becomes our Deputy Chair, and since no Chairman was elected, the Chair of the Association will be held by different officers on a rotating basis during the year.

Looks like we have a busy year of events ahead, what with 7 events in Beaumaris, 4 in Denbigh and the possibility of a couple of events in Mold (to be confirmed). We will be sharing a marquee with another organisation at Anglesey Show in August.

27th March 2022

Here are some pictures from our first craft fair in Denbigh Town Hall Salesrooms yesterday. On a nice, sunny day, we enjoyed steady trade all day for the 15 or so stands in the salesrooms just off Crown Square. Here are some pictures taken at the event (click on a picture to enlarge) – the next fair here will take place on Saturday 28th May. For stand enquiries contact Contact Margaret Hinds

Great news for members who attend our craft fairs. Fairs co-ordinator Bill Jones and Events Organiser Tony Vine have organised new fairs for us in Llandudno, at the Holy Trinity Church. Two fairs have been organised, one for late summer and the other in the run up to Christmas. Application forms for members will be sent out very shortly, and if any stand spaces remain a couple of months before the events, may then be made available to non-members. Tony says that “we expect both events will be very popular with Members, so advise early application to ensure your place is secured.
